How to Prep for Power Washing

A quick checklist so your appointment goes smoothly. Takes about 15 minutes.

Move your vehicles
Pull cars, motorcycles, and trailers out of the driveway and away from the house. This protects them from overspray and gives our crew clear access to work.

Close all windows and doors
Double-check basement and garage windows. Soft washing uses cleaning solutions that shouldn't get inside your home.

Bring in loose items
Cushions, doormats, garden decor, hoses, potted plants near the walls — bring anything portable inside or move it to the yard.

Cover or move sensitive plants
We rinse landscaping before and after, but if you have delicate ornamentals right against the house, cover them with a light tarp.

Secure pets
Keep dogs, cats, and outdoor birds inside for the duration of the appointment. Chemicals are pet-safe once dry, but the equipment is loud.

Turn off exterior electrical
Cover exterior outlets with tape or the outlet cover if you have one. Turn off exterior lights and disconnect any decorative lighting.

Clear the driveway (for concrete/paver jobs)
For driveway or patio cleaning, please clear all vehicles, planters, grills, and furniture from the surface being cleaned.

Have water access ready
We use your outdoor spigot. Please make sure it works and isn't frozen (winter) or turned off at the interior shutoff.
